The shed metaphor for me is inspired by the mystery, smells and textures of my grandparents’ shed in Kingaroy, Australia. [above) It was a place of awe for me as a small child, it still impresses though is much emptier than it used to be, and reminds of the psychological draw of place as I live so far away.
The Edinburgh Shed (the locals, and my grandma who migrated from Scotland to Australia in the mid 1920s, insist on calling it a castle)..
